In the first half of this year, the output of aluminum products in Japan increased year-on-year for the first time in four years; according to Master Boyi, supported by the strong recovery in demand from the automobile manufacturing industry, the output of aluminum products in Japan increased for the first time in four years in the first half of this year.

Preliminary data released by the Japan Aluminum Association (JAA) showed that the output of flat rolled aluminum and extruded aluminum from January to June was 938,844 tons, an increase of 11% year-on-year.

Shipments from January to June were 947,113 tons, an increase of 11% year-on-year and the first year-on-year increase in four years.
