In his speech, Jia Mingxing briefly introduced the achievements of my country’s non-ferrous metal industry since the “13th Five-Year Plan” and the challenges and opportunities currently facing. He pointed out that non-ferrous metals are an important basic industry in the manufacturing industry and an important support for the realization of a manufacturing power. Since the “13th Five-Year Plan”, my country’s non-ferrous metal industry has achieved a historic leap. Especially in 2020, the entire industry is facing a sudden new crown epidemic. Under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, non-ferrous metal industry companies are actively promoting the resumption of work and production in an orderly manner while doing a good job in preventing and controlling their own epidemics. It has made remarkable achievements in epidemic prevention and control and economic development.
Jia Mingxing said that 2021 is the first year of the “14th Five-Year Plan”. Since the first quarter of this year, the production and operation of the non-ferrous metal industry have been stable, and the output of major metals and the economic benefits of enterprises have continued to grow. Domestically, the Chinese government has achieved positive results in effectively coordinating epidemic prevention and control and economic development.
